Flood of Change – A Mumbaikar’s Rage

Could you see this flood?
The flood of blood?

The flood of tears;
shed for nears and dears,

The flood of pain;
Caused by the loss of gain,

The flood of fear;
For death may be near,

The flood of defeat;
For it’s the worst feat!

Could you see this flood?
The flood of blood?

But what is it that you see;
Among all the misery?

Between all the chaos,
And the sanity that’s been loss?

A ray of hope, a way,
Leading to a brand new day!

A day when we don’t fall,
But rise up and stand tall!

A day when we don’t sit back,
A day when we fight back!

When we overthrow,
Those who sow;

The seed of corruption,
Knowing that it will cause destruction.

Those who reap the fruits,
By concealing the truth.

The day is here,
Devoid of fear!

Can you hear?
The roar, oh so, clear?

The roar of families who lost their sons,
Who sacrificed their lives by holding guns.

Who fought for their mother-land,
Like which there is no other-land!

The roar of those who don’t want to die,
In the residue of TNT who don’t want to lie.

We will not give up so easily enough is enough,
We will not back down without a fight, no matter how tough!

The farther the goal, we’ll get it in range.
We will not give up, we will bring the change!
